Yes and no. For the most part, anything that can be done with spells can also be done with brute force, which we've got plenty of. Until we get access to Breach on a regular basis, we'll pretty much be relying on Dora's Saving Throws as a damage-soaker, and Insect Plague as a replacement for Breach. The only spells that I really hate waiting for are Death Fog and Creeping Doom (both for Liches), ADHW, and of course Time Stop. But I think we'll get along ok, what with 6 Warriors carving the bad guys up.

2) Any problems with spell scrolls?
Nope. There are buttloads of scrolls in the game, and even more if I designate 2 of my Mages (Varlen and Fellaia) as the primaries, and the other 2 just scrape up ther leavings. This party is still in BG1, and they haven't even attempted to scribe a single scroll yet: At Character Creation, they all picked MM and Identify, along with Friends for Varlen, and man, all those Identifies sure come in useful. Haven't memorized a single MM yet, though. They're about to get Level 3 spells, though, so I'll buy them Robes soon, as Fireball and Haste are too important to pass up.

I sit at my computer long enough to natural roll 6 sets of kickass stats, and you wonder at my naming imagination?
