Nobody's sure how Aerie got an illegal class. Similarly, how did Anomen get to be a dual classed Fighter-Cleric with such a rotten Wisdom score?

On your party, I'd keep Imoen for the first level of the initial dungeon at least, as there are quite a few traps and locked chests there where you can farm some easy XPs by disarming the traps and picking open the locks.

Very mild spoilers below ... use Ctrl-A or click-and-drag-over to reveal

Your party looks workable enough and well balanced. My only mild concern is that again you're mixing good aligned (Minsc) with evil aligned (Korgan) which may or may not lead to problems. (n.b. I'm not saying necessarily that it will lead to problems, just that it might).

Whether you choose to (a.) drop either Minsc or Korgan due to alignment inconsitencies and replace them with an NPC that has an alignment that will not clash with any other NPC in the party, and (b.) fill that final slot with a mage, and if so, who, I guess are your key questions.

It's not too spoilerish for you now given your first game's progress to note that one of your principal missions is to rescue Imoen, and 'yes' she can rejoin your party.

Your answer might be to press ahead with your PC, Minsc, Korgan, Jaheira and Yoshimo for the time being and be a bit light on magic power, and include Imoen when you rescue her. If you do add her in, you will note that she will rejoin at a higher level.
