I'd go for the x5 backstab (what is that level 15?) and dual then. Sure you miss out on the extra nasty backstab, but the problem with the level 21 dual is that by the time you are able to use this awe inspiring backstab most enemies will be immune to it. That's no fun.
However, I think the use of grand mastery with a backstab, and poison weapons with a greater whirlwind will make for a lot of fun.
