I don't know this has been fixed in any patch, but if when Edwin discovers the Nether Scroll you tell him it is party treasure the quest doesn't proceed and he doesn't "transform". If you tell him it's his to use then the quest will proceed. So, I'm afraid if you told him it's the parties treausre nothing will happen...

EDIT: I see Masterepeph has posted this just before I posted.

If it isn't that you could have a bug as the quest really should have proceded by now.

Sir Goulom, did you get any comments from Edwin that he was making progress in his studing of the scroll?
