ok, what you could try to neutralize irenicus magic power is to take a mageresisted character(drink potions) with the speed boots. The other Party members flee and try to take the other enemies with em.
The mageresisted fighter runs now round(arround? surround?me and my english...) Irenicus. Irenicus will cast all his spells on the character, without an effect you can imagine.
The other partymember should not have problems with the creatures they`ve pulled away.
When Irenicus is finished with his spells transform your main character into the slayer and cast speed on him. they rest should not be very difficult
