control collars
after you free yourself and fight the Ogre jailer head south and fight a couple more Mind Flayers and enter into the unconscious slave room. Wake them up by pouring some of the brine liquid into one of the machines there. They will tell you of a way to make control collars. If my memory serves you can make a total of four of them.
To take control of one of the regenerating Mind Flayers have the party member with the highest dex score and equip one of the collars in his/her quick item slot. When the Flayer spawns just click on the control collar and direct it towards the Mind Flayer. If his circle turns green you have been successful. March him (her? it?) out of the room and open some doors.
Be warned after your controlled Flayer will go hostile after his task is done.
