If they hit at all then they should be fine. If they only hit occasionaly its the NPC's THACO [/QUOTE]If a weapon's enchantment is not high enough, when the weapon "hits", you will get a "weapon ineffective" message in the message window. And perhaps some related comment from the character. (IIRC, Nalia says "Something's wrong here" when she gets a weapon ineffective.)
