Has this been expanded upon in unfinished busiess, is it meant to lead on to a quest?

Some other questions:
Does having all of balduran's equipment lead to anything special happening?

Is there a katana in the game other than CF that has special abilities, i want one or my dual weilding fighter/theif, as at the moment all i have is a +2 katana. If not, what should i use, bearing in mind that hammers, axes, flails and clubs are in use by my other two melée characters? I was thinking equalizer when i get out of the underdark. Im at the start of chapter 3 now, so im looking for a short and long term solution.
