Here's a hint for the 2nd lich in Umar Hills.
When he teleports your party to him, go to the other side of the "chess board" (since his teleports will likely send you there anyway). You can take the damage of one crossing and this will leave you in the lich's sight. More importantly, it will cause HIS henchmen to come across the board after you and make THEM suck up the damage the board lays on them.
Once those guys are out of the way, then you can concentrate your efforts on the lich himself. MUCH easier to kill him once his henchmen are out of the way.
