Bizarre :S If you've actually left the city by the city gate (which you must have done to get to trademeet) there is nothing more you need to do.
I guess you could try reverting to an earlier savegame just before she joins or CLUAing to her castle and doing the quests anyway.
I think she'll wait forever for you to come and help, so you haven't lose the possibility of doing it yet.
