Well, Yeslick is a fighter/cleric, making him thougher in melee combat, and as a cleric, he maxes out only one level below a single-class one, so that's really not much of a penalty.
Is Viconia not an option? Sure, she's evil, her STR and CON are quite low, but her DEX is awesome, resulting in a sweet AC, and her 50% magic resistance comes in very handy at times.
