No offense, man, but your way only makes sense because you've misunderstood what they said. Sling of Seeking
DOES NOT increase your strength. It applies the damage bonus your strength gives you to your attacks, which slings normally don't do. As such, while the Sling of Everard is more likely to hit - and can damage every enemy in the game, thanks to the +5 bullets it fires - the Sling of Seeking, when given to someone with high strength, will do more damage. Giving the Sling of Everard to someone who has 25 strength is a waste; they won't be any more effective than if they had 10 strength.
What I would do is have Anomen use the Sling of Seeking and Righteous Magic (after equipping any str-enhancing items) against normal enemies, and keep the Sling of Everard in his inventory for use on enemies that require +3 or better to hit (like iron golems).
