i do like that idea a lot from a role playing point of view - i wonder if there's a way of hiding the inactive class portion of the dual until it becomes active
imagine if you somehow installed the NPC without knowing and recruited her as a first level mage and didn't know that she had 13 levels of kensai buried under there
PC: "I bought these bracers of defence - they should help with your armour clasee"
NPC: "I'm not sure . . . "
PC: "Go on, try them for me"
NPC: "I said NO!" (snatches bracers and smacks PC round the head with them before walking off)
PC: (to Minsc) "She's surprisingly strong for a mage"
