I'm actually having problems installing this mod, and considering all the stuff I hear about him being overpowered, I'm considering giving up on the idea of having him in the party.

I guess it's coming down to this: Do I need a backup Mage? The party is small (4 total), and I don't know if I really do need one. Also, when I reach ToB, I plan on adding the NPC that shows up there. He could be my backup Mage, but I wonder if I'd ever get his Fighter levels reactivated, even in a 5 person party.
