Aha - that explains the trouble I had. I kept talking to Cernd first and eventually chose every one of the possible dialogue options - but no matter what I did, my BARD was the one that kept getting transported into the pit with Faldorn.

I DID eventually beat her, but I had to use my customized CNTRL-Y Wardstone to do it. Guess I'll have to go back and do the second half of the Druid Grove quest again {sigh}

I also had another major problem with the rakshasas that the djinni's are after. I tried to go ahead and finish that little quest up while I was in the Grove, but rakshasas seemed to be immune to EVERY spell I cast. I cast Cone of Cold, Greater Malison, Dire Charm, Melf's Acid Arrow, Magic Missile and Chromatic Orb. I even hit them with my Wand of Lightning and every single time the feedback window showed the message "Spell Ineffective" [img]graemlins/wow.gif[/img] WHAT is making them immune to every spell I have???
