Evergreene's idea shows promise, but I think the most reliable way is to simply find your oldest save and haul ass to that Stronghold, stopping for nothing. Of course, you still might not have time.

This whole thread is unfortunate, as Minsc usually leaves you a great big chunk of time before his patience finally runs out. In the last game I played for speed, I got Minsc, did the Nashkel Mines, did the essential parts of Chapter 3, got Coran, completed Coran's quest, and was 1 map away from the Gnoll Stronghold before Minsc jumped up with his "You take too long! We must go now or you are a coward!"
