Your "charming" technique just inspired me to try very "emotional" approach to Ilyich party. I will take Emotion as my first level 4 spell and see how the Ilyich gang responds to that.
BTW: I'm playing a sorcerer. He gets his first level 4 spell as soon as Imoen detraps and opens the painting. Hopefully I didn't spoil too much.
