When importing form BG1, a few thing's happen..
All your inventory is removed, your spellbook is removed and your XP raised to 89000 if it was lower than that before...
Few upsides of importing though, some item's get plonked down in the level where your start so you can pick some of them back up, a certain item in particular is also carryed over if you happened to still have it on your BG char..
