Gods aren't allowed into the Bhaalspawn mess, but this isn't part of the Bhaalspawn mess, is it? It's an independent battle.
Though if the PC could 'call' allies I see no reason why Elminster And Company couldn't, and then the PC is doomed.
Though I still think Elminster could do it singlehandedly, but not in the game. He got the shaft in the game. Look him up if you ever get your hands on the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book.
