Dead easy fix on the weapon crafting.. (btw hope it's a long casting time 10+ or so)
You make the spell add a speacail ablity's tab, with the choices, Make B*** sword, make Longsword, it's not much more work than just a spell to create the item..
Hell you could make it an ablity that add's the ablity to choose, upon choosing it removes your ablity to craft the weapon as well (yes you can remove ablitys permantly after use)
I'd suggest making the song ablity replace itself after it's cast, but have a long casting time or an unresistable hold effect on self after casting for the duration to represent the char singing and playing and so on..
