Chapter Forty-Two: Forging Alliances and Coran We Meet Again
After resupplying we headed to the Temple of Ilmater to put Yoshimo's soul to rest. Then we headed to Cromwell's to get some items made.
After that, to Aran Linvail. I made it a point to mention what I found in those crate shipments we had to help Mook guard way back when
Needless to say, Aran was more than happy to offer us some of his best assassins to take on Bodhi. We told him we'd meet them at the graveyard in a week.
Then at the Order of the Radiant Heart, a squire told me he was following the stories all about me. When I mentioned a vampire, he took me to see the Prelate. The man agreed to send his best knights. As an aside, he mentioned he once dated Bodhi.
I forgot to mention Sola got Drizzt Do'Urden on our side as well! I finally got to meet my idol, Regis. Though Sola wasn't too happy that I tried to sneak in a kiss
He forgave me though, being the pervy hobbit fancier he is
Then we headed to the Small Teeth Pass to while away the time killing monsters. We also found another more secluded graveyard in the forest being looted. No one loots graves around me! Well... unless it's me of course then it's ok. We got attacked by the grave robbers so we fought back.
Then at the Forest of Tethir (?) we all had to battle goblins, Wyvern cultists, and Kua-Toa! Much to our joy, we met Coran again. Apparently he needs help rescuing Safana from some monsters. Jaheira snorted, commenting that she's surprised the insipid husband-coveting wench was still alive. We were to meet him in the Northeast.
It came as no surprise that Safana was actually
working with the werewolves! Coran arrived just in time to find this out, and watch the leader kill Safana. It was very inappropriate for Jaheira to laugh maniacally when Safana was killed, but we didn't tell her as much.
A few dead werewolves later, Coran apologized and commented it was just as well anyway. He had been planning on dumping Safana. Jaheira still couldn't stop laughing though.
Coran said we were welcome to stay at his cabin since he was heading to Athkatla to go drinking. He forgot to mention it was haunted by mists though! Since we were doing the elf a service by killing the mists, I took the opportunity to claim payment with whatever items of worth he had stored there
