Part fourteen begins here.

With the external quests surrounding Watcher's Keep complete, what to do next was either entering the keep itself, or move on to Imp Irenicus already. I chose a third alternative and went to the Docks district once more. It was time to pick up the Cloak of Balduran. It would be a simple matter of turning everything inside the shed to goo. Unfortunately that damn lich sits at a ridiculously high level 40, so I would need approximately 7 500 000 more XP to turn her, most of her accompanying minions were in the danger zone however. Anyway, as I was standing outside the door, I activated all the regular buffs, including a set of Energy Blades, a True Sight, and a Sanctuary to avoid the Blindness bombardment. I went in, A couple of Mummies and Skeleton Warriors, a Bone Golem, unturnable, and the lich herself up in the corner. Death awaits you, but not I! I'm like, Huh?. I run up to the Mummies with Turn Undead activated, they all go *poff* just as the lich releases a spell trigger packed with Ice Storms. She tries to cast PfMW, but I had begun tossing those blades as soon as the lesser undead exploded, and her casting was disrupted. The Bone Golem was still alive and tried his best to rip me to pieces, but I didn't have time to concern myself with him. The lich cast Time Stop from a scroll and activated some anti-spell protections. No worries, the blades cuts right through all of those. I moved away from the Ice storms and the golem, though I kept the lich under a constant blade barrage, and her second PfMW casting was also disrupted. Her Stoneskins were gone long ago and I had begun to actually damage her. Quickly cast a new set as the last of the old set flew from my hand, and just kept pelting her. She cast two more Time Stops from scrolls, but didn't bother to cast PfMW even once during that time, just a couple of Incendiary Clouds (hah, Prot from Fire), a pair of Teleport Fields, and some illusionary protections, which were promptly dispelled almost instantly by my TS. I was on my third set of blades when she finally just gave up and died. The victory came a bit too sudden and easy, though I guess that her whole script is based on that first PfMW not being disrupted. Used my remaining blades to kill the Bone Golem and left the building.

Now what? I was looking for something, anything, to do other than going on with the main storyline. I had remembered that Clerics actually cannot use the Wands of Spellstrike, so the keep contained nothing that would drastically improve my odds in the Imp Irenicus fight. I decided to try my luck in the Small Teeth Pass. For people unfamiliar with the improved version of this place, it is now inhabited by three rather mean dragons, with even meaner scripting. Upon entering this place, you'll always be almost instantly scorched by a Red Dragon Breath, no matter if the dragon happens to be on the other side of the map. I decided to enter from the south, since the north entrance was just by another dragon, and I didn't feel like having to contend with both the Red Dragon Breath and a completely different dragon at the same time. Immediately cast AoF to at least minimize the damage somewhat, it still zapped about 140 HP. Got a Prot from Fire up as soon as possible, and was temporarily secure. Proceeded with the regular buffs, some Energy Blades, and summoned a Deva to aid me. Then we went up the Red Dragon

Devas are superb dragon killers! This one, and the next one we killed, was stunned within a few rounds by the Deva's attacks.

With both of us being immune to his breath attack, he didn't pose much of a threat, especially not after being stunned. We moved on and used pretty much the exact same tactic against the Brown Dragon. I'm pretty sure his breath attack is supposed to do acid damage, but I never felt any of it. The purple dragon at the top was the toughest, though that's not saying much. He couldn't get within melee range of me, and was so reduced to his electrical dragon breath (to which I was immune) and a repetitious castings of Maze (blocked by CC). Both one and two devas perished when going up close to him, but there was nothing he could do about me tossing my constant barrages of blades from a distance, and was dead within a turn.

With that area done, I simply couldn't postpone my final meeting with Bodhi any longer. Went directly from the Small Teeth Pass to the Graveyard. There Bodhi greeted me and left me with four vampires that I turned and moved down into the old vampire nest, now more crammed with the undead than ever before. I could've been really cheesy and activated a Sanctuary, but I settled with running through the place with nothing but Remove Fear and Prot from Evil active. It took less than 2 minutes to kill every single vampire on the 1st level, and grab the Gauntlets of Weapon Expertize. The 2nd level awaited, nothing here but a few traps that I'll never know what they were supposed to, since I got this lovely message "Thomas: Magic Resistance" both times. Standing outside the room in which Bodhi resided, I buffed up with everything I had and summoned a Deva and some skeletons. We all moved in at once, there Bodhi was, neatly trapped behind all her Grim Warder Archers. Two vampires appeared, but were turned as soon as they had appeared. Bodhi felt some blade action at once, and I had already emptied my first set when that annoying and unavoidable Creeping Doom got to me. I wasn't taking damage from anything else however, the archers couldn't hit me, and Bodhi wasn't doing much at all, except unsuccessfully trying to walk right through her minions to me. Chugging down a few Super Healing Potions kept the red area around my portrait down to a barely visible patch, and before the Creeping Doom had worn off, Bodhi had her little panic attack and exclaimed "No, this life is mine!". Hehehe, bye bye Bodhi! She was still struggling to break loose from the corner she was trapped in and could do nothing about the blades I relentlessly tossed at her.

In one last desperate attack she finally broke loose from the archers, but she was already past "Near Death" and it was way too late for her to pose a threat. She punished me a bit with retaliation from the dual fireshields when I cast my three final blades, but that was all there was to it, she fell and retreated to her coffin. We mopped up the archers, and then I staked her. So much for the sibling of Irenicus, I grabbed the Lanthorn and then got up to the surface again to see the sun shining on the graveyard.

Thus ends part fourteen. I'll finally be moving in to the elven city tomorrow.
