Yep.
I would pick up the potion case if I felt any need to have it, but as it currently is, I don't carry around more than one stack of healing potions and one stack of oils of speed. I already have far more cash than I'll need for the rest of the game, so I don't need to pick up every little potion and ammo stack I come across, just take what I need.

Some people might enjoy the game more the more comfortable and easy-going it gets, but I feel all these little restrictions and limitations were put there for a reason, and that they're all part of the challenge.
I always use Silence on spellcasters that are vulnerable to it (ie, not those with forcecast Vocalize, which most mages have), it's such a cheap and easy way to completely disable them.
