I give a pretty good start on how to make your own soundsets in
this thread. Basically, you hunt around the 'net for LOTR sound clips (should be a truckload of them out there by now), save them in the proper format, and rename the sound clips to differentiate between them. And you'll need about 36 clips. The readme.txt file in your BG2 directory has a section on how to do this. Good luck!
EDIT: BTW, Illumina, all you really need for a soundset is a microphone, the right jack to plug into a computer, and a sound recording program. The sound quality is better (well, excellent) if you use industry standard mics and professional audio recording equipment, but the dinky little $3 mic on my computer and the Windows-version sound recorder came up with some interesting clips. It's like portraits--you don't need fancy stuff to do cool things. [img]smile.gif[/img] (I'm encouraging everyone to do this now, since there are so many portrait sites and so few soundset sites.)
