That's all well and good, but I don't think characters are actually 'aware' of their Experience Points. That is, if you were roleplaying, you wouldn't say something like 'More XP', because you character doesn't realise that he is under a set of rules which define his growth. [/QUOTE]
Through combat, adventurers grow more powerful, they certainly are aware of that. Experience is measured in points for our sake, but experience for adventurers is .... experience just without a point-based system. Defeat a golem, and your muscles will enhance, your wisdom will grow, your technique will improve, etc. There is benefit to be gained by defeating golems, so adventurers will certainly seize the opportunity...
