Hmm....I've always known the standard Hive Mother to cast True Sight, meaning the Cloak of Non-Detection will stop her cold (although good luck wearing 2 Cloaks at the same time), and why would anyone cast True Sight if they already could see through Invisibility?
As for Weimer's Improved Hive Mother, I think you may be right, but I wouldn't know, I wasn't Invisible anyway. And I was more perturbed by her infinite Chain Contingencies of Stoneskin/Improved Mantle/Heal. On the plus side, though--none of Weimer's Beholders cast Imprisonment. Are only Hive Mothers Improved or all Beholders? The reason why I am asking this is because AFAIK
Elder Orbs cast Imprisoment.
