Any time I sit down at my computer these days it's a nightmare. Please help with this problem if you can.
I needed to free up disk space on my C: drive. Okay, so BG2 is the big culprit. Okay, I uninstall it using its uninstall feature. It doesn't work so well. All the file folder contents were still there -- but the start menu entry and the desktop icon were gone. Okay, go to control panel -- nope, it's not on the uninstall programs list. Okay, so I delete the contents of the file folder and the folder. Fine.
Now, to reinstall to another drive. Okay, I put in the CD and -- guess what -- I HAVE NOT INSTALL OPTION. As if I were playing for the first time, I have a "Configure" key. No install key. I push "PLay" and it says "need to run config." Okay, then it quits -- just crashes (no lock-up). No matter what button I push, this is the result.
How can I clean my Computer of BG2 so I can reinstall the damned game? Out of all the problems I've having this is the WORST. I can deal with ToEE no running, I can deal with a lot -- BUT NOT LOSING BG2. [img]graemlins/crying.gif[/img]
I need to get rid of enough of the game that the CD doesn't think it's still there and/or I need to find a way to force an install. What can I do?
