It is good that they aren't making them all best friends from the start; there should always be personality conflict in these sorts of situations.

I try not to geek out over movies, but I am really looking forward to this one...and have been for some time now.

At the end, the large flying serpent-like thing...that has to be Jormungand (no, I didn't spell it correctly), the World-Serpent. Or its Loki-controlled, Tesseract-powered equivalent. If so, then it is possible that Thor will either be mortally wounded, even dead, by the end of the movie. Dead is okay for Thor, though, because there are several ways for Asgardians to come back from the afterlife and could even be the plot motivation for the Thor sequel (which is sadly not being directed by Kenneth Branagh).
