My 4 PC's and 1 laptop use either Microsoft or Asus optical or wireless mice. I find the optical mice quite good. You will have to dust off the lense on the bottom of the mouse occasionally, but should never need a Phillips head! And while I like the wireless mouse for the laptop, they do have the extra cost of buying batteries. BTW, I recommend NEVER using wireless ANYTHING if you are a dedicated online gamer. They still have noticeable lag.
