Ahhh yeah. Jaheira's romance is REAL TIME based (not game time). This means that the romance advances based on the amount of time you spend in game. Best bets to get it to advance- either cheat to move it ahead (there's a variable there with obscenely high numbers; reset it to 1 after each romance event), or leave the game on pause whenever you're not playing.
