The pictures are to scale with themselves only.
Otherwise, the illithid would have been taller and the dwarf shorter.
By the way, the dwarf is the same model as my 'superhero' dwarf, which is the same as the clown in my avatar (in the other forum).
These were kind of test renders, in that I have plans for backgrounds and other objects in the pictures. In future illithid pictures, there will most likely be other creatures for scale (can you say "drow").
