In law school, you can look up old versions of the tests in the library that the same professor has given. Sometimes you can find or the professor will give model answers done by other students on portions of the exam in past years. Of course professors are willing to meet to discuss an exam grade. And yes sometimes there will be some red marks on the page indicating where you lost points.

But a professor doing a 15 page model answer per class per semester, every year? Unheard of. Maybe the U of C required that, but I doubt it -- I can ask some U of C folks I know and find out. Most likely it probably just shows a pretty decent work ethic on the part of the professor.
