Re: All your base are belong to Sims 3
I'm gonna grab it from my local EBgames. Not obsessed enough with it to pre-order, but I am a fan of the franchise. My problem is, I always play the sims for like a week then I get bored with it. With the sims 2 I did this, then I got a good deal on the expansions deluxe edition, went back to it, then after a week I had done everything and stopped. It's not got longevity for me.
I hope the Sims 3 has this. I am really looking forward to the seamless "united" neighbourhood idea. In the Sims 2, I rarely had time to go anywhere due to transitions, time constraints and the fact that i'd come back to find the rest of my sims died in a fire or something stupid. From what I have seen in the interviews they have changed this, and EA basically say your sims will "take care of themselves while you're out". I hope so. Micro managment is not fun, unless there is a reward for it. They need to abolish bathroom breaks and hunger too although I think they're still there in the Sims 3. Random events are fun, monotonous sleep cycles are not. I will write back when I buy it to tell you my thoughts, but despite my criticism of the Sims 1 and 2, I am optimistic about part 3.
