Achievment for the GOP is preventing my neighbors from lawfully marrying and preventing me from succeeding at America's most popular game of skill. Considering religious interpretation is the root of such freedom-denying leglislating, I must wonder behind closed doors how many of the people in the Grand Old Party are in fact Americans 2nd?
They had their chance during the last 15 or so years and wasted it by becoming the party of the big business defense contractor and religious zealot rather than anything even resembling a party of fiscal restraint and smaller government that does not intrude on the People's lives.
Trying to take a high-ground approach now is simply rotten, when they should be groveling to the American people for forgivness and reforming the party platform to get rid of the liberty-denying deadweight, Carl Rove be damned and just my opinion of course.
Hey, Be cool Felix! Please! It's an easy trap to fall in, in face of multiple opposing views, to get frustrated and resort to personal attacks rather than keep to respectful political debate. I've fallin myself more than once and try to learn from it every time.
Let's try and keep our respect for each other in the spirit of our political system. We can have strong opinions, We can agree to disagree, We can compromise in order to solve the problems we face. At the end of the day we are just people opining, debating, and discussing politics on the internet, nothing new nor particularly special.
