Re: Ram Question
Crucial didnt work....

But, i went digging, took me an hour or w/e, and i found the motherboards booklet.
It is 939 socket, and supports up to 4 GB of up to PC3200 DDR DIMMS. Got that from the book.
So DDR1?
The Mobo is actually an Nforce4-a939 from Biostar. I cant find this on their webpage listed.
http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en-us/mb/index.php
Closest I can find is http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en-us/...t.php?S_ID=145, but not identical I dont think.
Well, given that information, we now know its a DDR1 ram, and the mobo can take 4gb. But, can anyone tell me the biggest AMD processor I can get in there? is that restricted? As long as its AMD 64?
So, for example, would this work - http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/sto...&category_oid=
And does quad core mean its like, 4 x 2.2ghz processors in one?
And I assume quad core 2.2 is better than dual core 3.0?
Or does it depend on whether your using say, like 1 thing at a time, or many different things? mine is purely for games, so im thinking that say a duel core 3.0ghz is better than a quad core 2.2?
Processors and motherboards confuse me. Give me computer code tbh
Edit -
I dunno what processor I have, all I can find is from DxDiag, saying - AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+, MMX - 2.2Ghz
So I assume thats a single core 2.2ghz processor. Can my mobo even support dual/quad core or w/e
