I recently installed ToB and decided to play a game through from BG2 and do some things a little differently. I used a plain fighter and grand mastery in flail. I've never used the flail of ages with my character before and wanted to see how I liked it. Now with Watchers Keep on the map I decided to go somewhere new before sailing off to Brynlaw. Spoiler >

So now on the second level of the keep I have the poison head for the flail. I took it back to Cromwell but he didn't identify it as something he could work with. Going back to the forge in Nalia's Keep didn't help either. Can you add the head before ToB? If so how and where? It's a bummer that you can get an item that you can't use until ToB.
