So I have bought a brand new computer and with it, the Logitech MX cordless desktop (mouse MX 700). for the first time I am able to play Baldurs Gate, but really I am not. The spellcasting and thievery skills dont work properly. When I press the spellcasting button I goto the spellcasting screen but it disappears after 5 seconds. The same thing happens with detecting traps. After 3 seconds my thief just stops. Also I cant use magic items when fighting like lightning wands and so on. After that I cannot use the buttons at all unless I go to the caracter screen and back, but after 5 seconds the same thing happens again
I have heard that the problem is my cordless desktop and that Im supposed to replug it some other way.
1. I dont know any other way to replug it cause Im no wizz with computers (the mouse and the keyboard are both plugged into the PS2 port via the same reciever)
2. I didnt pay all this money for a new computer to replug my keyboard/mouse everytime I play BG2 or change the hardware setup.
I have also heard that I could change the hotkey settings or turn them off. Ive tried removing all of them (the ones that arent fixed) but its not helping. Ca I turn it completely off or what?
I desperatly need help. I cannot play the game like this any more (gotten to chapter 3) and Im going nuts here
