I was just surprised to see some of those names in a DC thread.
The WoD games were by White Wolf- they were set in the present day, though they did release a line of historical books. The three main lines were Vampire: the Masquireade, Werewolf: the Apocalypse, and Mage: the Ascension. (There were a bunch of other ones to, like 'changeling' 'mummy', etc.)
I was most a fan of Mage.
They have a great set of bad guys, The Technocracy. It just reeks of the Illuminati, esp. with groups like the New World Order.
I was/am also a big fan of the GURPS books- Illuminati, Black Ops, Cyberpunk.
