Before you go to another game, you could try to play BG2 one more time, but now with MODs that enchances and makes the game harder.

If you have decided to get a new game, though, I recommend IWD2. It's the closest you'll get to BG2, except BG1. On a second thought, play BG1 first, and then get IWD2. NWN is also a nifty game.
