You can do the same with Paint Shop Pro, or Photoshop - any app that supports layers.

There is one advantage to Photoshop over the others, and that is that Poser can use the layered files (psd) directly and export in the psd format. Studio can also interact with Photoshop directly through use of the 3D hridge for Photoshop.
