...Aaaand, I tried making a giant squid icon. Hmm - smaller than I thought they would be! (Apparently their huge lengths are a result of people measuring those two long tentacles along with their body.)
If I double or triple the squid to make a kraken - it would be really LOOOONG, if you haven't noticed
(Watching videos of squids, apparently they swim around in that horizontal manner, so that is the way I made the icon!)
(Also, now that I have the giant squid for perspective, I think my giant octopus is too big... at the least, it is the largest possible specimen of a giant octopus, I guess.)
