Default Re: Spooky Tornado sirens... I remember those [video]

Ignore the "Tornado Warning Bitches comment this guy wrote.. lol the footage just struck me as cool, because I would go out when the siren went off when I was older.. LOOKING for it! hehe yeah, smart..

At the last 30 seconds, you can CLEARLY see the rotation area (white lower clouds).. That was over Cherokee Park in Louisville Cherokee Triangle October 18, 2007

We've been through 4 Hurricanes (3 in 2 months time) and the wind is insane. But Tornado's are a MUCH bigger threat to me... I'm sure we'll be getting some crazy weather here soon.. yey. I have a weather radio, and can read a live Doppler radar (looking for 'the hook echo' (what the radar image signature looks like onscreen. Been lucky so far!

If you live in a crazy weather area--hell, these days, it can happen anywhere. Get a cheap weather radio and set it up in the house. Most tornadoes DO occur in the night. (While you're sleeping). With a radio, set it by the bed or somewhere close.. It's saved many lives.
