Pic of Ground Zero in NY in prep for Pope
I check the goings on at Ground Zero in NY.. In the pic, you see the ramp is lined with flags, and a temp white tent is at the far left side of the pic. And down the ramp, they made a temp of the 2 footprints of the World Trade Towers. (Families of the Victims will also be there to meet the Pope). Even the two cranes are parked to face the entrance way for effect.
That Ramp is going to be removed next Month--it was supposed to be removed this Month, but the Pope's visit changed that I guess. They are reinforcing the slurry wall, and pounded 100's of huge pilings into the ground all over the roadway--they had to repave and move that main road 3 times. Just to pound the pilings in (It reinforces the ground against the water). The cores of the Freedom Tower are taking shape! Soon, they will be street level, and you can expect a floor to be built every week or two!
They found more remains where they've just begun digging at the far southeast corner too.
