LB- I don't think that was the tie-breaker, I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one that 'voted' for the dark haired Glasya.
Something about devil in a red dress keeps coming to mind.
Crystal Dragon- They both look nice.
The first one has a wider range of colors represented, with a greater contrast between the light and the dark. This is what I think the others mean by standing out better. The second one looks more crystalline to me, but also a bit washed-out. If the darkest part of the dragon was the same color as the first, but the shading was left the lighter color, I think that would combine the best of both.
