Default Re: Some things we can do already

Pretend I'm not part of the development team when I say this but, we've been moving so slow a person has a stronger likelihood of seeing this editor appear if they started learning c++ from scratch right now and made it themselves than waiting for it to get done by the dev. team.
It's not just that releases have been few and far between since Mr. Spud left, but this would also be way down on the list and would definitely be sometime after version 1.0

I'm in no way trying to disrespect anyone by saying this- I don't know if you looked at the code, but the fact that Tarlanon was even able to figure out what it was the CocoaSpud was doing is an amazing feat in and of itself. And we're having a hard time attracting new developers b/c we're dependent on old Microsoft technology (it's not supported by MS any more...) namely the MFC libs. There has been talk about moving away from those to OpenGL or SDL that would definitely allow a lot more people to participate (and allow us to create a Linux version). But, this undertaking is so large that we're not even thinking about it (very much) until we hit 1.0.
