Wow, that made no sense whatsoever. I might try and answer that one properly now that i'm not raving drunk..
The reverse seems true to me. Women/girls always seem more scathing in their criticisms of pop stars and it's no surprise to me since the industry is geared towards them. Guys might go to mentioning her weight, but it's with indifference (or they're media and paid to do so). Girls, it seems to me, are the one's who actually care about it.
Of course, that means that my own observations may not be a good indication of what the situation really is, so i'm perfectly happy to concede a point on this one.
