My brother-in-law is an inventor, like his dad, but he's also a writer and has several short stories, focused in the children's book genre mostly. However, his inventions have only made him enough money to break even with the cost of manufacture, and the books have never been seen by anyone that could make them into something sellable.

Now he has a new idea. By using eBay as his point of sale, he is offering full rights to anyone who thinks they can take one of his stories and make something of it. He's offered up his favorite work and has posted it on eBay, and then paid for publicity to have coverage in the paper and online.
