I took a behavior psychology class about a year ago, and in the textbook there were several strange things that the body of a person would do involuntarily that only a behavior psychologist could help with....one was a girl who would involuntarily vomit dozens of times a day. They thought she was sick, or that the problem was pysiological or whatever, but ended up being a simple involuntary response to an external stimulus.
I wonder if anyone has yet offered her this idea. No regular doctor or silly trick will be able to cure her. It will end up being a behavior psychologist that will help her.
