I was actually referring to Ancient Greece as no modern-day old Greek could be old enough to withstand the two last millenniums. But you probably know that. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
I believe that the custom to partake in sports without clothing had more to do with achieving a greater sense of freedom than with comparing one's musculature to others. Removing a barrier that restricts one's freedom is a great cause, while comparing one's progress in an activity (especially in this case) is a universal habit, clothes or no clothes.
