Do you realize you actually posted this?
Step One: Reboot with your Linux boot CD.
Step Two: Cleanse system of all M$ software.
Step Three: Clean install Ubuntu.
Step Four: Immediately open all repositories, and do a update.
Step Five: Install any drivers that need it.
Step Six: Enjoy.
Sounds like it could be three issues:
1. PSU going down
2. Memory
3. Heat
Boot to BIOS, and check your hard temp on the CPU.
Boot to QT Parted CD~Options~#3~and run a "Full" MemTest.
